Studio-grade Equipment
Studio-grade Equipment
Studio-grade is a spec, not a slogan: a frame that behaves like one solid unit, springs that feel the same in the first class and the last, a carriage that still runs quiet years in, and a warranty written for commercial traffic. This collection is the professional tier of everything we sell, every studio-quality Pilates reformer, tower, cadillac and chair, plus the jump boards, sitting boxes and frames that keep a room working.
How to choose studio-grade equipment
Choose by line, not by single machine. Peak Pilates' Artistry reformers, with leather or vegan straps and FWS or TWS tower options, are classical wooden studio machines; its MVe and Fit lines serve group formats at a lower tier. Elina Pilates covers the European wood and aluminum end, from Elite and Master Instructor reformers through cadillac combinations. Align Pilates' C8-Pro series is the aluminum workhorse, and BASI Systems brings the build of a brand rooted in instructor education. The Pilates ProWorks FitFormer covers Lagree-leaning programming.
Spec for the life of the machine, not the opening month. A well-built studio reformer commonly works for a decade or more, so class capacity, repertoire per station and parts availability matter more than the sticker. Reformers alone are collected in studio reformers; apparatus beyond the carriage lives in cadillac reformers and towers. Send us your floor plan and class volume and we will spec the room with you.
Warranty and delivery
Coverage at this tier is the longest in the catalog: lifetime frame warranties on Peak's Artistry wood equipment and on Elina frames and rails, 10 years on Align metal frames and BASI wooden frames, and 5 years on Peak's PPS metal line. Everything ships free by curbside freight within the continental US; line-by-line terms in the warranty and returns policy.
Frequently asked questions
What makes Pilates equipment studio-grade?
Build rated for daily commercial hours, wear parts sold as replaceables, upholstery that tolerates constant cleaning, and a warranty that stays valid in a business setting. Home-rated machines can look similar and cost less; the difference shows up in year three of twenty classes a week.
Can I buy studio-grade equipment for a home?
Yes, and people do: the machine outlasts any home schedule and holds its value better. The trade-offs are price and, for wood machines, weight. If the budget is tighter, reformers for home covers the home-rated tier honestly.
Which warranty matters for a commercial studio?
The one written for commercial use. The brands here cover frames from 10 years to life in studio settings, while home-rated machines often exclude commercial use entirely. Confirm the rating for your intended schedule before you order and the warranty works for you, not against you.
