Basi Systems
BASI Systems builds studio-grade Pilates apparatus around the BASI Pilates education method that Rael Isacowitz founded in 1989; the equipment line was designed from his concepts to serve that curriculum. This collection holds the BASI Systems reformer range alongside the Cadillac, Wunda chair, wall towers, barrels, and spine correctors, all brand new from an authorized dealer with free US freight.
How to choose a BASI Systems reformer
The range is short and clear. The flagship reformer is built for both studios and committed home setups. The Compact Reformer trims the footprint for tighter rooms. The Reformer with Tower adds vertical springwork to the same base, and the Reformer Combo, offered in standard and short versions, is the configuration to ask us about if you want one frame to do the most work.
If you teach, the deciding factor is usually repertoire. The tower and combo configurations support exercises a flat reformer cannot, and they take less floor space than adding a separate wall tower later. For a first home machine used for self-practice, the standard reformer or the Compact is the simpler buy.
Beyond reformers, the line covers the Cadillac/Trapeze Table, the Wall Tower and Wall Unit for wall-mounted springwork, the Wunda Chair, the Ladder Barrel and Arm Chair Barrel Set, and the Spine Corrector, sold with or without BASI's F2 system. Compare across brands in the chairs and spine corrector collections.
Warranty and delivery
BASI Systems covers wooden frames and structural components for 10 years, steel and aluminum profiles, springs, and F2 systems for 2 years, elastomer-coated parts for 1 year, and upholstery for 90 days. Equipment ships in protective honeycomb cardboard and typically arrives in 2–4 weeks with free curbside freight in the continental US. Returns are accepted within 30 days with a 20% restocking fee, but large equipment, custom products, and springs are excluded, so confirm configuration with us before ordering. Full terms are in the brand-by-brand policy.
Frequently asked questions
Which BASI Systems reformer is right for home use?
The Compact Reformer if floor space is tight, the standard reformer if you have a dedicated room, since it is built for both home and studio use. Add the tower version only if vertical springwork is part of your practice. We can talk through ceiling height and clearance before you commit.
What is the BASI Block System?
It is a teaching methodology, not a machine: BASI Pilates uses the Block System to categorize and sequence exercises in its instructor training. The equipment in this collection was designed to serve that curriculum, which is why BASI Systems apparatus is common in studios run by BASI-trained teachers.
Does BASI Systems make a cadillac?
Yes, the Cadillac/Trapeze Table, a full-size frame for trapeze and tower repertoire. If you want that work without the dedicated footprint, look at the Reformer with Tower or the wall-mounted Wall Tower and Wall Unit in this collection, or compare other brands in cadillac reformers.
How long does BASI equipment take to arrive?
Typically 2–4 weeks, shipped in protective honeycomb cardboard with free curbside freight in the continental US. White-glove or inside delivery can be quoted before you order. Inspect the cartons before signing and report any damage within 48 hours.
