Studio Pilates Reformer
Studio Pilates Reformer
A studio Pilates reformer is bought on duty cycle: it has to glide the same in the last class of the day as in the first, for years. This collection is the commercial tier from Align Pilates, Elina Pilates, BASI Systems and Core Collab, the machines we put into group studios, teaching rooms and clinical spaces.
How to choose a studio reformer
Match the machine to the format. For group classes, the Align C8-Pro, also sold in white as the C8-S and in black as the Noir, is the aluminum workhorse of the range, and Core Collab's Queen Studio and Studio Eco cover the strength-leaning end of group programming. For classical teaching and physio work, Elina's Master Instructor and physio reformers and the BASI Systems machines carry the adjustability instructors ask for.
Then decide how much apparatus each station needs. A plain reformer turns over fastest between classes; a tower or combo covers tower and cadillac repertoire in the same station. BASI's Reformer with Tower and Reformer Combo and Elina's tower versions are all here; compare reformers with towers and cadillac reformers before you fix the floor plan.
One honest note: if the machine is going into a home and will see a few hours a week, you may be paying for commercial hours you will never use. Start at reformers for home and step up only if the build difference matters to you.
Warranty and delivery
Elina Pilates covers frame and rails for life and BASI Systems covers wooden frames for 10 years, both with 2 years on components. Align Pilates covers metal frames for 10 years and footbar mechanisms for 5. Core Collab covers its reformers for 10 years. Everything ships free by curbside freight within the continental US; full terms in the warranty and returns policy.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a Pilates reformer commercial grade?
A frame stiff enough for all-day use, springs and ropes treated as replaceable wear parts, upholstery that tolerates constant cleaning, and a warranty that stays valid in a commercial setting. The price difference over a home machine buys longevity, not extra features.
Can I use a home reformer in a studio?
Usually not without losing the warranty. Most brands rate home machines for residential use and exclude commercial settings from coverage, so a studio running home-rated equipment carries the repair risk itself. Buy machines rated for your use and the warranty works for you instead.
How many reformers do I need to open a studio?
It depends on class size, room dimensions and turnover between sessions, not on a fixed rule. Send us your floor plan and intended class format and we will help you spec the number of stations, the machine mix and the delivery schedule.
